Wales Contemporary: Welsh Artist Award

Wales’ breeding seabird colonies, like this guillemot colony are one of the world’s greatest natural wonders. To draw Elegug Guillemot Stack I worked on a large scroll of paper, unfurling it as the narrative of interactions between guillemot allies, outliers, neighbours and partners wove into a landscape. Glimpses of jewel like eggs were recorded using colour.
